Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Farnworth location. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The total payment and security deposit are usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with transactions handled securely through recognized payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- Upon collecting your vehicle, please conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be generated and must be signed by both parties. It is important to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was received, with allowances for standard wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may incur additional charges. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same amount of fuel as at pick-up; refueling fees will be applied if it is returned with less fuel. Insurance and Liability Terms
- All car rentals include basic third-party insurance. Full details regarding coverage and excess amounts are outlined in the Rental Agreement. You may have the option to purchase additional insurance to lower your financial liability. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, unless additional coverage is acquired. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse will be your responsibility, irrespective of any insurance in place.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Late cancellations or failure to show may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is strictly prohibited. Activities such as racing, rallying, or off-roading are not permitted. The transport of hazardous materials is also forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or allowing unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a violation. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose and within designated passenger and weight limits. Driving beyond the agreed geographical areas requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and fees.
Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Farnworth Car Hire will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid for the rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liabilities arising from negligence resulting in death or personal injury, or from fraudulent actions.
